Jim Coggins got his start in the sheet metal and roofing industry in Austin Texas in 1975. In the beginning, he and his older brother Mickey would walk to a small metal shop after school and during summer breaks.

This apprenticeship with a traditional (old school) sheet metal shop afforded Jim the chance to learn the sheet metal trade and every aspect of its relationship with the roofing trades.

After leaving the United States Marine Corps in 1985 Mr. Coggins opened a small shop in a support role for the General Roofing industry with emphasis on flashings and metal Roofing.

In early 1989, Mr. Coggins moved into the estimating and Project Management role with two of the largest Roofing Companies in Texas and Louisiana .

In 1999 Jim Coggins founded A Action Roof services, LLC, providing roof consulting, roof design and roof maintenance planning.

In 2002, Mr. Coggins saw a need for a quality oriented company that could serve the Central Texas area in all of the Roofing and Sheet Metal disciplines.

Our full service metal shop located at 6510 FM 775 Seguin, TX offers a wide range of metal fabrication services from flashings and gutters to pans, hoods and welding. If it's sheet metal we can fabricate it.
